The hanging Westover suspends the collection’s hand-riveted rectangular lantern from chain, which is the right answer for a covered porch, a deep entry portico or a breezeway with height to give away. Clear beveled glass on all four sides means the fixture still reads as a lantern when viewed from below.
WVR1907 is 20.75" tall on a 7" square footprint, weighs 11 lb, and ships with 8 ft of chain, 12 ft of wire and a 5" canopy — enough to hang as low as 121.75" overall from the ceiling. Hang the bottom of the lantern no lower than about 7 ft above a walking surface so no one meets it head-first.
This fixture is damp rated, not wet rated. It must be installed under a solid roof or overhang where it will not take direct rain or blowing spray. For an exposed location, use the wet-rated Westover wall, pier or post lanterns instead. Takes one A21 medium-base (E26) bulb rated to 150W maximum, sold separately, and dims with a standard incandescent or dimmable LED lamp.
